Winter tour to observe wildlife

(December - February)

Winter ... The earth is covered with a white fluffy blanket of snow. It is so clean and bright around. Each needle of fir and pine trees is in hoarfrost. The forest is quiet and beautiful! Only sets of spoors on the surface of snow and birds of prey in the air prove that life has not faded until spring. You can see a hare crossing the edge. A squirrel is running from tree to tree. There is a white-tailed eagle in the sky. It hovers over the white trees and controls its kingdom! 

Day 1:

Group meeting and accommodation in tourist complex "Hlupinskaya Buda.

Day 2:

· An excursion to the meadow near the village of Pererovsky Mlynok where you can see white - tailed eagles, northern goshawks and hawks in the sky and spoors of birds and animals on snow (you can also get acquainted with the process of birds and animals accounting in the park).

· After lunch in Turov you will go on a sightseeing tour to the Museum of Nature, where you can see all the diversity of flora and fauna of the park and get acquainted with the history of the national park. Then you will proceed with an afternoon excursion to the nursery of the European bison. There you can watch white-backed, lesser spotted and black woodpeckers. Directly in the nursery you can see spoors of bison, roe deer and wild boars. At this time animals often feed here. There is a unique view of the wild high bog. A large herd of European bosons (about 60 bison) spends winter time in the vicinity of the village.

· In the evening after a short rest and dinner, if you wish, you can go to watch and listen to owls (eagle-owls, pygmy owls, tawny owls and others). You are likely to see wild boars, foxes, hare and roe deer.

Day 3:

· This day is meant for tours to winter woods. You can watch woodpeckers (lesser spotted woodpeckers and black woodpeckers), different types of tits (long-tailed tits, greater tits, marsh tits, willow tits and coal tits) and nuthatches. During this tour you can see spoors of the European bison, as well as enjoy an imperial hero of Belarusian forests.

· Then we return to the base to have lunch in order to taste the traditional Belarusian cuisine and to warm ourselves.

· After lunch we walk to Lake Karasino. We are lucky to enjoy a winter wood, to listen to the roll of woodpeckers and to recognize the spoors of different animals on snow.

Day 4:

· An excursion by boat to the habitats of azure tits of mountain taiga species, which do not nest in Western Europe. There are soaring white-tailed eagles, spotted eagles and marsh harriers in the sky. Falcons fly swiftly. In winter this area is usually inhabited by a fairly large number of roe deer. You will definitely see wolf spoors here.

· Lunch takes place on the base.

· An afternoon walk through the ancient oak forest gives you a unique opportunity to admire the beauty of gorgeous landscapes. You also enter the kingdom of wild boars which are considered to be sovereign owners of this place.

· In the evening after a delicious dinner and friendly conversations you are invited to go by car to the surrounding meadows and fields in order to observe the night life in the headlights.

Day 5:

· After breakfast the group moves to tourist complex "Lyaskovichi." During the journey we will have a short stopover on the bridge over the Pripyat, which offers marvelous views of the surrounding area.

· On the territory of “Mlynok” reservoir you can see different kinds of terns, such as white-tailed eagles, lesser spotted eagles and greater spotted eagles. Moreover, nearby forests are rich in wild boars, elks and roe deer. It is the reason for a huge number of wolves and lynxes. Their spoors are everywhere and you can even see animals themselves.

· Lunch takes place in the house on the shore of the reservoir.

· After lunch - transfer and accommodation in tourist complex "Lyaskovichi" and a short walk on the outskirts of the village of Lyaskovichi.

Day 6:

· After breakfast the group travels to the field of black grouse habitat where you can also meet roe deer, wild boars and deer. There are a lot of beaver dams which turn into small frozen waterfalls in winter.

· After lunch the group goes on a tour in the safari park, where you can watch wild boars, deer, roe deer and elks.

· In the evening at nightfall you are invited to go on a tour to the surrounding areas in order to observe the night life in the headlights.

· Departure of the group from National Park "Pripyatsky"

· Escort to the airport (if needed)
